Southern Company announces quarterly dividend

<p>Southern Company today announced a regular quarterly dividend of 64 cents per share on the company’s common stock, payable Sept. 8, 2020, to shareholders of record as of Aug. 17, 2020.</p>
<p>Every quarter for more than 70 years Southern Company has paid a dividend to its shareholders that is equal to or greater than the previous quarter.</p>
