Instrumentation and Controls Academy
The Instrumentation and Controls (I&C) Academy is a place where you can earn an associate degree that prepares you for a challenging and rewarding career as an I&C professional. The academy is an educational partnership between Southern Company, Georgia Northwestern, Central Georgia Technical College and Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College. Exciting careers in Instrumentation and Controls (I&C)
In this field you'll work with a network of intelligent inputs (instrumentation/sensors), similar to the human senses (touch, small, sight, sound) which feed into a control system, similar to the human brain, which has been programmed to control a process.
You can be an I&C technician
Job responsibilities may include everything from troubleshooting, repair, calibration, installation and maintenance of instruments, control devices and electronic equipment.
